| large file transfering If your in a situation like me where you have more than one computer this tutorial is for you.Chances are when most people have to transport large files to a different compter in their house they have a couple of options.
1)Burn the files to a Cd or a Dvd this is an Okay method but not the fastest because you have to wait a while for the cd or dvd to burn and if you have 1 files over 10 gigs what can you do?That is where my method comes into play.
Bitcomet. It is very simple to use.
1)Start up bitcomet or download it http://www.download.com/BitComet/3000-2196-10296306.html?part=dl-BitComet&subj=uo&tag=button
then press ctrl+M make a new torrent.
2)choose the directory of the file or files you need to transfer.
3)When it tells you what trackers you want to use one of these
http://tracker.prq.to/announce
http://inferno.demonoid.com:3389/announce
http://tracker.bt-chat.com/announce
http://tracker.zerotracker.com:2710/announce
you can use more but just one is fine.Where it says peice size you want that to match your internet download speed as much as possible if you dont know leave it at auto.
4) At the bottem it says generate .torrent file.Check it and choose a name for your torrent then hit ok.
5) now it will show you have one task and it will load there will be a bar at the bottem to indicate this.
6)Now when it is done loading right click it and save it to a floppy or you could email it to yourself or save it to a flash drive.
7) Start bitcomet on the next computer that you want the files to get to and put in the floppy or whatever that has the .torrent saved on and open it with bitcomet now your original computer will start seeding to your other computer.
Maximum Speed .Your internet conection speed really matters go to www.speakeasy.net and click on test my internet download speed to see your speed whatever speed you have try to match that with you peice size
