HD-DVD is apparently cheaper to produce so my money is on that format.
it may have less GBs than Blue Ray but i think HD-DVD will win

This whole Blu-Ray and HD-DVD is a bunch of bullshit.

Y'know certain movies will only be done in HD-DVD, and certain movies will only be done in Blu-Ray. I'm not going to buy two players.

I'm sticking with DVDs.

rite now, its hard to decide. the HD-DVD costs less 2 produce, but microsoft doesnt have a company or whatever making movies like Sony Pictures is. so its a tossup.

Im going with Blue-ray. More capacity + high quality = good stuff.

But the truth is, like zombie said, HD TV is bullshit. DVD's work just great for me and i cant even tell the difference between normal picture and HD picture. Looks all the same to me.

We are going to have to deal with 2 formats for the next few years. Eventually one will get phased out, and it may take less time that I stated. Right now a big winner for HD is the backwards compatibility. Blu-Ray is a totally different format, even though they are using the same "type" of laser. My money goes to Blu-Ray in the end, but untill they can get the cost to make them down, I say HD is going to be more dominate right now.

personally i think that HD-DVD will be better even though BlueRay has more memory on the disk does not mean they will use all the memory on the disk and the quality of HD TV is absolutely amzing and i think that a lot of people will change there opinion depending on the price of them

Run on sentances much? :roll: If you are going to say that the HD-DVD format will be better, please state why.The size of the HD disks are quite big too,being able to hold 15gb on a single layer.Here is a bit of reading that might change your mind.

In refference to the capacity:
"This additional storage capacity will be essential when HDTV becomes mainstream, in order to allow storage of HD TV shows or movies on an optical disc in the same high quality. You can record about 13 hours of standard TV but only a bit more than 2 hours of uncompressed high definition TV on a 25GB disc."
