Well as most know, the PS3 and Xbox 360 games will cost around 70-80 US dollars.

As it is with PSP games...many are lot more careful buying games that cost $50.

How much are we willing to spend on 1 game?

Surely the price range is going beyond birthday gifts and things a teenager can buy with change in his pocket.

Now 2 games for ps3 or xbox 360 is the same price(or more) as buying a PS2 BEFORE the ps3 or xbox 360 ever came out!

360 and PS3 games are not going to be that much. MS is starting the trend, and putting out their games at $49.99

Do a little research before posting stuff man. Games will not cost anywhere near $70-$80 in the US. They will be $49.99.

Remember when the controllers and stuff started coming out for the original xbox, it was $29.99 for the new Controller S. The only thing I see on IGN that you linked to is the wired controler for $40 instead of $30.

As with anything thats made 1st party, the peripherals will always be a little higher than 3rd party accessories. Thats because the consoles are sold well below cost, and the console maker (Microsoft in this case) generates a lot of lost revenue from its accessories/peripherals.

ok, the the PS3 games might be closer to 60-70 dollars

$10-$20 increase is still quite a bit(especially for bad games)

Maybe it will be just like the PSP games.
I am sure all of have noticed that EA games are $49.99 and many other titles are $39.99.

I expect the prices to be similarly set for next gen consoles.
Must get games will be priced at $59.99 and others will stay in the $49.99.

Are you going to tell me that you wouldn't buy Halo 3 for $60 or Final Fantasy XIII for $70?
There are games out there that we would pay more than usual amount of money to obtain. Just like people that bought PSP for $1000 (suckers).
