Rep Power: 0 | Sony: PS3 will be $300-$400 Check this article out:
http://biz.gamedaily.com/features.asp?article_id=11174&filter=
or if you are lazy:
"Today, however, Sony CEO Sir Howard Stringer revealed to FORTUNE magazine that he expects the PS3 to launch with an MSRP somewhere between $300 and $400 when it hits the market next year."
I'm holding out for a PS3 over the 360 for the Blu Ray DVD support and more impressive games on the horizon, and of course PSP connectivity! Figuring that I'd want a next-gen DVD player anyways, this makes the PS3 much more affordable for me. |

Rep Power: 0 | I think you have the wrong idea about why you want the PS3. Blu-Ray and impressive games ? Don't kid yourself.
I will be getting a 360 AND the PS3. Both systems will be awesome, and both will have great games. |

Rep Power: 0 | Yupp,I totally agree with F34R on this one.Just because its blue ray doesnt mean the games will be impressive, its the hardware that you should be looking out for. Also bluray is new to game consoles so well see how it fairs vs the already long used dvd format. |

Rep Power: 0 | I am very excited for what blu-ray will offer for game developers, but I could care less about it as a movie medium. My oppo upconvert DVD player has amazing picture quality, and I see no need to replace it. |

Rep Power: 0 | Well the Revo will be less than $200 @ launch so you might go for that instead of the $400 PS3. |

I doubt it because first off, its not spelled that way, second off, you are just saying you want a ps3. So your opinion doesnt belong in the "bluray" offtopic in this thread. And to the comment on 30 year olds, well for a fact me and him are pretty much the same age, and my gfs little brother made enough money this summer to buy both of them, so if your going to whine about it, get a job. He did, and hes 16. |

For some movies it won't make much of a difference (comedies, some dramas) but on others there is a big difference. I had HD Starz for awhile and Finding Nemo and Hulk were AMAZING in HD, significantly better than my DVD's, so I'm looking forward to watching big effects movies on Blu-Ray.
But 50gigs of game content is an equally big draw.. |
