enitiled to your own opinion man..as stated before. but as for me i love my psp. i dont do homebrew, cause i upgraded to 2.5 for the internet (or better yet one of my friends did) but i still love it for movies, music, and games.

I dont know what games your into, but I think you may be disappointed(sp?) when the 2006 lineup of games comes. Just my opionion.

I have a 2.6 PSP (couldn't downgrade to 1.5 or anything because it came with 2.01) but I still love it and it's better than what I expected. I was expecting the quality of the screen to be really horrible and for it to be all pixelated when I first played one of my friends' PSPs, but it's like a mini HDTV....well not really, but for the size, it's good.

I have watched a couple movies on mine and they were of good quality. I do want to find a way to hook up my subwoofer to it though...needs a little more bass. lol

It's a 5 in 1 system. Games, movies, music, pictures, and internet...for 250 bucks. Pretty nice I must say.

the only problem i have with mine is a slight refresh rate problem ie some ghosting, i only notice a little in gta, ridge racer and some mp4 files. my psp is version 2.01 but i dont have any dead pixels.
