Rep Power: 0 | There are claims of a downgrader for 2.01+, but I havent seen any proof of one working. In short, NO. |

my firmware is 2.0. i know there are certain psp's that aren't downgradable and i was wondering if anyone can give me some help |

Rep Power: 0 | Turn your PSP off, make sure the AC adapter isnt plugged in. Remove the battery and see what model number your PSP is.
If it's below 1006K then you are able to downgrade. If the PSP is freezing, but you dont see the random letters, then you don't have the files in the right place. I am merging this with the sticky downgrader thread. Please continue this discussion there. |

Rep Power: 0 | Any chance of hosting the 1.5 firmware? I could post it, but it would be better at the top. |

Rep Power: 0 | Confused OMG! I am getting a bit confused with trying to get back from 2.0 to 1.5.
I downloaded the bin, dat and tif files. Do I need to really change the drive from my current G:Removable to F: ??
And as per instructions I don't see any eboot file with the instructions? Where can I find this and place it in the UPGRADE folder.
I believe this will allow me to downgrade?
Sorry and thanks for any help. |

Rep Power: 0 | You'll have to get the 1.50 EBOOT.PBP file on your own. I don't have it attached to the post. I might attach it tonight, but it will be late tonight.
As far as your drive letter, NO. You keep your drive letter whatever it is. Mine is F:, so that's what is shown in the guide. You'll substitute your drive letter for the F: that I used. Obviously, if your drive letter is already F: , you don't have to substitute anything. |

Rep Power: 0 | Thanks KK thanks, I appreciate your response. I found the file and will try to do this.
Wish me luck.
Looks so easy but yet tricky it seems. |

Rep Power: 0 | AC Adapter error? Okay I see version 1.5 but I get an error message stating, "the update cannot be started. The AC adapter is not connected. Connect the AC adaptor and then try again'?????
Grr I seem sorta close I think.
Any suggestions? Do I need to uplug the AC adapter and then plug it back in?
Thanks
I do see that it thinks I am running v1.0 though, stuck after that. |

Rep Power: 0 | I know this will sound stupid, but make sure it's plugged into the wall.
Another tip is to make sure the power light is orange. You'll need to have less than 100% battery while the charger is plugged in. So, if the power light isnt orange while the AC adapter is plugged in, your battery is either fully charged, the AC adapter isnt plugged into the wall, or the AC adapter isnt working. |
