Rep Power: 0 | have you tried deleting the 1.5 eboot and the other files of your stick,
and then running the 2.0 update from a umd.
if not back up your stuff to your pc, format the stick and run the update from a umd. |

Rep Power: 0 | Okay I figured it out. For anyone who's having the same same problem as I was having, read on. I had done EVERYTHING. Formatted my memory card. Try updating from UMD. Try the network update. Downloaded from the PC and transferred it to my memory card. Nothing worked. In the end, I just thought that I would Restore Factory Defaults (or whatever it's called, you know what I'm talking about). After I did that, it took me to the initial setup screen, where I had to choose my language/time/date/etc. It did not take more than 10-15 seconds, and that's it!
I tried updating after that and everything worked perfect.
Wooooohooooooooooooooooooooo. |

Rep Power: 0 | I've had success with updating without making the folder in all caps, but if you are having trouble, check the following:
Make sure your folder is in all caps, i.e.
/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP
If it is already as such, try another download, or re-download the file you have. You may have a corrupted download. |

Rep Power: 0 | Sucess 2.0 Hey thanks! I actually managed to get it to work. I didn't read everything in the update folder which tells me what to do with what. ops:
I was always careless as a kid, racing through everything without reading. ops:
Now I just have to get it back to 1.5firware and I will be happy. |

Rep Power: 0 | I have PSP slim OFW 5.50 and I want to go back to 5.00.
I have copied the OFW 5.00 in the PSP>GAME>UPDATE>EBOOT.pbp.
whenever I install it, PSP shows you have the latest firmware, you don't need to update it.
Please help me. |
