Artists needed for homebrew Lua game *UPDATE* - PSP Forum

I am in the process of writing a homebrew game in Lua. But, what I really need is graphics for it handrawn or a image editing program. I just need some levels, enemies, and perhaps even the main character(s) drawn. Anyone who is interested just post here or e mail me at calhoun.j@gmail.com and we can talk about what is needed. Anyone who contributes will of course get recognition on the source code and in the program under whatever name you wish. Get in touch with me if anyone is interested.

P.S. All artwork must be original.

lua is a programing language used to make homebrew games for the psp
he needs some artist to help him create characthers in his game.

Wow I dind't know you could write games....
is it difficult?
What kind of game are you writing? Fighting? RPG? Action?
I might be able to come up with something.

What I am currently working on is a shooter since there are so few right now for the PSP. Don't worry though, I know how shooters can really go down hill, that's where my OCD comes in to play (everything has to be perfect) :lol: But, I do have a couple ideas for other games that might get made after this is finished. It's not VERY difficult using lua, although it's a very good language to use for homebrew 2D games (that's where the artists come in, to make it look as good as possible with just pictures). I'm not going to say too much about it now because I think it's shaping up to be a pretty good little game. But, I will say that if I had to rate it myself it would be rated M so everyone keep that in mind.

UPDATE: 10/11/05 11:08 A.M.

No problem. I will keep this forum up to date with information about it. As most of you know I frequent this forum everyday since U.S. launch day. And may enlist a few of you to beta test it for me when it gets closer to being finished. :wink:

The following list is what is needed as of now:

1. Levels (contact me to find out how many and if you have suggestions for a level)
2. Main Character, male(weapon of choice: pistol) and female versions(weapon of choice: M-16) of a main character, not very futuristic, but modern. What they wear? well that's up to whoever draws it. (contact me to find out about poses that need to be drawn)
3. Enemies both male and female aiming/holding pistols and shotguns dressed in normal street clothes.

If anyone wants to design a loading screen please feel free to contact me about it. Of course anyone who contributes will recieve recognition in both the source code and the program itself. As of right now 1 person has showed interest and contacted me. Depending on how many people do show interest they will have a say in a lot of how it looks, the levels and so forth.

As an update presidentpskillz has sent me some sketches and they are very good. As soon as we get things going I will release some screens of the game. Also, I would like to thank presidentpskillz for his work.
