Most retail store you try to use it in will ask for your DL/state issue ID. At all the places I have worked, we were not allowed to take a credit/debit card without a DL. Most places now have keypads that you enter your pin on, and those places probably wont ask for ID. |

Rep Power: 0 | Most places don't ask for ID. I do NOT sign my card just because I want people to ask for my ID. In fact, I have "Please request ID" written on the back of the majority of my credit cards and my debit card. If someone actually asks for it I thank them and gladly hand over my drivers license. It is for your protection.
Congrats on getting a debit card. I remember when I got my first one and I was soo excited. Now I have probably 12 credit cards and a LOT of debt and a bad credit score. Don't be tempted to get credit cards. Ugh... |

Ugh... | Yeah, I wouldn't even worry about getting a credit card until you absolutely have things you NEED a credit card to buy, like your own car, an apartment, school tuition, things like that. |
