Drive Died, Need Help! - PSP Forum

Okay this is what happened, all of a sudden I went to go into my backup drive (D

on my computer. It's where I keep everything important, such as pictures, program installs, music, videos.... etc, and it wasnt there, i restarted and checked the BIOS, finding that it was still recognized. I tried to restart and access it with no luck, restarting again I entered the BIOS, finding that it wasn't recognized now. I checked inside the case, and the 4 pin molex, and the ribbon cable were fine. Any ideas?

try reformatting it?
i kno it will delete everything, but its worth a shot.

Nevermind...it reappeared after about 3 restarts. I backed it up to a new partition of my original drive, just in case.

Reconnect all your cables.. This has scared me a few times also

Make sure all connections are tight, that there are no kinks in the cord, etc..

It's happening again, thankfully while it was working I backed it up.. but still. And yes, I checked all my connections, and made sure everything is fine, I've also tried other cables, but nothing works. It might be on it's last leg.. I might try upgrading/downgrading the bios, as it was just updated a week ago. Piece of poop HD.
