Rep Power: 0 | Forums... downgrading? When I first joined this website/forum, there weren't even 2000 people registered here. Back then, the community seemed a lot closer and people made productive posts, with actual meanings and content. People were friendly towards each other, and the forum seemed a lot more interesting.
Now, however, it seems that there are so many less intelligent and intellectual posts being made, and people are getting *way* too lazy to search threads. Now, if someone has a question, theyll just go and post it. Most of the time, they dont even post enough information to make the post semi-worthy of reading. Such an example of a post would be
"Do any of u know ne ways to downgrade the psp firmwear?"
there are so many problems with posts like this: 1) there have been other threads that have the exact same question, only presented in a much higher quality. 2) people cant spell.
Seriously, it takes almost 1/10 of a second to type the extra two letters "y" and "o" to complete the REAL word "you", so why all the horrific spelling? 3) Content. People come here asking for information about the PSP. Fine. But dont ask "how can i get internet?" a much more decent post will gather much better informaion and replies, thus elimitating flames which people also bitch about. for example, instead of asking "how can i get internet?" ask "Hey all. I have a PSP with Firmware version 1.51, and i was wondering how to connect to the internet with WipEout Pure. I've tried searching (which isnt true to this case, because there is info all over the net about the WipEout hack), but alas i havent found anything. Can someone please guide me in setting up the hack?"
anyway, I just wanted to see what you people feel about this. Is the forum becoming less and less productive, or are there just too many people, or, is it just me... |

Rep Power: 0 | a big thing is that some of the time, the posts are made, and there's no mod on to delete them, so people start posting trying to help when they really shouldn't, just because the person is ignorant of the rules. |

half of these guys EVER sign on, i didn't even know peloquin was a mod!
also the psp faq should be emailed or something to new users, just as long as they see it. it should also be updated with new rules, like: no double posting, and searching. |

We are checking the site constantly. If people only knew how much stuff we clean up and move around. :D
When you see something that needs fixing, use the report post option. It makes it much easier for us to find and correct issues, since it sends an email to each mod. |
