i got a this plan with my friend to visit japan this summer, any recomendation for cheap hotels ? hotels location etc ?
where should i go ? this is gonna be my first trip to japan, so im kinda clueless

and how much us$ is 1000 yen ?

live as far away as possible from downtown tokyo,.. (cheaper the farther you go) and go eat on the street restaurants etc,..

tokyo is too "touristy" ,.. i would hittup other parts of japan for the real flavor! =)

btw: people in japan hardly speak engrish,... bring a translator

well actually im going home this summer to indonesia, and planning to take a plan with a transit in tokyo....and stay for like 4 nights there
still looking for cheap tickets.... :P

I just returned from Hong Kong.....They spoke a lot of english there.....The Philipines was cool too.

Wow all your statements are completely false... Except for the last one where they hardly speak english. But it doesn't mean you need a translator -_-

Don't listen to this guy, Tokyo is an awesome city with a great amount of stuff to do. As long as you plan your trip correctly you won't have to spend that much. There are tons of cheap places to eat in Tokyo....
