ok i am very curious because everyone is saying that the normal psp is better because you get to do different thiungs for e.g downgrading things or something like that andholding more memory so is that true or are they just winding me up?!!

I think you misinterpreted what they are saying. Currently, there are more options for downgrading most fat versions of the psp. This comes in handy if you want to put custom firmware on it. The newer psps, however, have better web capabilities because of the memory on them, which is double (if I remember correctly) that of the original psp.
If you want a simple guide-
Modding--->fat
playing stock---->slim


This is only because, as with everything, the longer something is out, the more things will be invented to use with it. I hope this clears it up. Max

I don't think you read all the posts completely. Yes, it is true the slim psp has more features, however this is not the entirety of what he asked. You have a greater likelyhood of finding a ft which you can downgrade, than a slim.

for if you were smart you could combine A normal psp format with a slim psp format

which all you need is CMD

^^ What do you mean by anything? Ebay has the largest selection of goods that I know of, if you can name something more all-encompassing I would love to hear it. Obviously you cant get like, an apple with your name and face carved into it, however thats not what we are talking about. You can get any psp combo you want on ebay, depending on how long you want to wait.

Also, "better" is a loose term. I did not say it was "better", but there are many more options for downgrading a fat psp, because it has been available longer to be "messed with". In continuation with this, most of the available downgraders require a 1.5 kernel, which is currently unavailable for use on the slim psp, which cuts off some ease-of-use possibilities (yes there are whispers of a substitute, but I am speaking about proven methods).

Also, what is this CMD you keep talking about. Are you refering to the DCv3? Or something of C+D's creation?
