First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong board. Anyway, onto my problems.

Ok, I'm a PSP noob, and there are two problems I have.

1. My PSP will not read the 32mb memory stick that came in the PSP package. I was able to format it to my PSP once, but every time after that, it says there is no memory stick inserted. I had a friend put on a SNES emulator and some games, and I went to load them up but it said that there was no memory stick inserted. Also, whenever the stick is inserted, the little loading light on the left blinks until I turn the PSP off. On my friend's PSP, the light blinks for a few seconds then stops. Remember , this is the standard 32mb stick that comes with the PSP.

2. I can not connect my PSP to my computer. I plug in the usb to both units, go into usb mode on my PSP, but then a window on my PC pops up, saying that it can not detect a usb connection. This is why I had to lend my memory stick to a friend so he could put the emulator on it.

So basically, I can't get stuff from my PC onto my PSP, and even if I could, I can't load it since my PSP can't seem to read my stick. Please help if you can and thank you in advance.

Did you go to 'USB Mode' in your PSPsettings menu?

Two suggestions... use your memory card in another PSP and see if it works. Try a different USB cable and see if it works.

The card seemed to work for my friend, since he put the stuff on the card from his psp I believe.

But using another USB cable does not work, I've tried that.

I would contact Sony or the place you purchased your PSP from and let them know that your PSP isn't reading memory cards.
