odd problem - PSP Forum

I bought a ssilver psp off a freind of mine he told me it was messed up but for 5 bucks w/e.. ne wasy.. it cycles through the menu incredibly slow.. and when u try to click on somet hign it takes for ever and a day to load he says it still playes games fins but is very slow on the net and doesnt play movies well.. he did say that it will play music as long as the screen is off..i think he said it was modded w the dark alex program.. which idc about the mod if i could get rid of it i would.. he said it all started after he tried to download some hentia porn.. which idk y he just wouldnt watch the real thing ne ways can any one help me.. i am jus tthik about buy a pbroken system and usein this one for parts unless it an easy fix..

I can help with this ,

1st. What version is it?
2nd. I believe this happened to me once.
3rd. If it is same problem I had then: In vsh Menu(press select in the psp main menu and it appears) in one it should appear like this.
M33 Vsh Menu

CPU Clock XMB (here it is supposed to be set in default)
CPU Clock Game (here it supposed to be also set in default)
USB Device (should be set to memstik)
UMD ISO MODE ( set in either M33 or normal)
ISO Video Mount (set to none)

It is usually a problem in the above if it is not set in the correct spot, my friend messed with my psp once made it really slow and it was because he messed with this. Of course I already fixed this.

it wont go to default but it went to 133/66 and it seems to be workin fine.. but i dont have any games to test out right now..or movies.. but it seems fixed thanks for the help..

also it says system software 5.00 m33-4
