Hello, I am new to this forum so i shall introduce myself ( excuse me on any bad grammer due to english being my 3rd lanuage) My name is Mohammad Taki from Lebanon.

My problem is connecting PSP to the internet ( not even sure that i'm posting in right category), I have researched almost evrey possible answer on the web and on forums but none seem to answer my problem. I even tried the official PSP message boards

I have a Zhone 6218-I2-320
ADSL2+ 4 Port WiFi Bridge/Router, I have one desktop and a laptop and they are all work great with my wireless dsl connection. ( Extra info : My desktop is connected with a wireless maxG adapter and my Laptop via built in wifi )

From what i understood PSP is wireless B ( However the documentation of the router said it supports G and B ) so theoreticly no problem should exist.

My connection is currently WPA-psk secured( i have tried wep and no security , still no luck with psp connection ) I also made sure no mac filtering is enabled ... still no luck !!!

How is it that only my PSP cannot connect to the network ... it gives me this annoying messege all the time

"A connection to the access point could not be stablished. Check the security settings for the network and try again. "

What is really driving me crazy is that security settings are fine... firewall not blocking anything, mac filtering disabled and I entered the wpa key ( more than 50 times , i even removed security and disabled wep for a bit ... and still no luck )

I know this was a long post and thank you if you took the time to read till here.. please post your help if you wish I called my ISP, the place i got the router and almost anyone who knows anything about computer !!! and no one could help .... thanks in advance

try this ,on your psp go 2 network settings than go 2infrastructure mode go 2 your connection which ever 1 is you wlan pick it then go 2 the next step go 2 easy than click x on your psp test your connection. After that a whole bunch of numbers gone pop up copy the numbers with the(ip adress just like you see it, copy the subnet, copy the primary dns and copy the secondary put it on a paper for you can remeber. Then do the steps all over again instead of going 2 easy go 2 custom then manual than put the numbers in there than test the connection again than it shoild work.

ohh... this is really hard staff....if the solution above doesn't work....maybe it is problem with wifi on psp? maybe u forgot to open the wifi on psp? i really don't know what could be the problem.

ya ur english isn't bad. sounds like a weird problem. try this... go to the xmb, and down to the internet options where u first set up ur connection, set up a new connection, look for the name of your wifi connection and for the percent next to the name. if its too low (around 30-1%) that error will appear. try moving closer to the router. who is ur internet service provider? where did u get ur wifi router. also (don't feel bad if this is it as i've done this myself) make sure the wifi switch on the psp is turned on. that switch moves around waaaay too easily.
