I just got a psp 1001 and it works great on everything, but won't read games. This is my first psp so I don't know much about them. It doesn't have a memory card but i ordered one. I checked the laser and the spinning disc thing and they both work it spins and the laser moves up and down and the red light is on. When i put a game in i can here it spin, but the loading game icon in the corner is on, but nothing happens after that. I have tried like 5 games. How should i fix this?

Well, I didn't experience this problem. But for your condition, my recommendation would be, get it to your preferred technician for them to check whether there are problems regarding your UMD drive or the software (I don't think, but I'll consider) installed. Or another thing is that there are certain problems inside which should be fixed for you to play your UMD games. Hope that helps.

well you can try this to see if it works..use the switch to open the umd door..look inside it for a column at the right side..like this picture.. [ oII ] ..if the column is next to the 0, which is the disk reader, then move the column to the right with a pen or something..should look like this when done..[ o II]..after that..put in a umd disc and see if it works
