haven't used ps2 in a year and it wont start

I haven't used my psp in over a year because I lost it. Found out, tried to turn it on and it wont turn on. I charged the battery, and it still wont work. When I hold the on switch to turn it on, the light goes green but the screen doesn't turn on

(btw this is one of the first edition psps, its quite a few years old)

Your LED psp screen may got wet so it's broken or it will be something else you should let someone to repair it

did you check battery voltage? take multimeter and check if your battery still holding voltage.

Ditto, my psp wasn't used for a VERY long time and wouldn't start. So I ordered a new battery and it works great now.

Try turning it on with it on charge and with your battery out. If it turns on then its the battery which is at fault.
