psp not charging

It wont fully charge when I use AC Power Adapter or use USB with my comp.

Anyone know why?

Faulty PSP? Make sure both ends are securely plugged in. Thats all I can say.

Do I need the PSP Battery Charger pack to charge the battery?

When I use the AC adapter it says it's charging for no more than 2 mins then says "Charging Complee" at 0% Charge Level.

o_O Thats very strange. Yeah there is a charger for the battery, I suggest you pick one up, along with another battery, so you can always have your PSP on and gaming.

Yes it is pretty weird.

It's a NEW battery I had just recently bought. And when I place it in my computer through USB or AC Adapter in the wall it says:

"Charge Level 0%
Battery Status Charge Complete"

I had a friend that had the SAME problem, and said he had to go through 3 batteries in order to get it to work. Anyone get this problem or is there a way to fix it?

Who makes these faulty batteries that you are talking about? Maybe it would be a good idea to let it be known so that our pspforums members avoid products from this maker.

It's a "SONY 3.6V 1800mAh BATTERY PACK (PSP)".

So it's the one that came with your value/giga pack then correct? Thanks for clarifying that as the maker of the battery wasn't stated in any of your previous posts. Anyway, that really sucks for you. I would return it for a new value/giga pack if I was you.

it sounds like it may be your charger charging your battery at two high of a voltage. Has your charger been exposed to any harsh climates?
