PSP power connector problem - PSP Forum

Hello,
I am new to the forums. I have a PSP phat running 3.71 m33 firmware. I recently replaced the lcd screen because there was a line through it. Installation went fine. The only problem is, since I changed the LCD screen my PSP will no longer charge the battery. I do not get the orange light. When I look in system settings it says battery is at say 10% and says charge complete. I have know idea what happened. Could the yellow power connector be damaged. Also, I checked threads and many people say it could be a blown fuse. I took my psp apart and used a screwdriver to connect the joints to see if the fuse was the problem, but still no go. Any help woulod be greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome to the forums otal99 , sounds really complicated. Sounds like your gonna have to get a charger that charges the battery but not through the psp like a wall charger since you cant charge from psp anymore(more simple than messing with the inside).

Do you guys think it's a blown fuse, bad power circuit board or bad connector? Has anyone else had a similar problem and how did you fix it. Also psp powers up with or without the battery in. It just won't charge. Also does anyone know a website that shows step by step directions for bridging a fuse

My friend has that problem with his psp but we still haven't been able to fix it.
