| Transfering Files To Your PSP For Dummies! Hello, and welcome to the Dummies [n00bs in this sence] guide to file tranferring. First, i'll make a step-by-step guide then if you still have questions then ask away!
1. Format your Memory Stick. This can be done by going onto Settings>System Settings>Format Memory Stick. [WARNING! If you allready have data, then read the 'Alternative' instructions]
Alternative:
1. Connect your USB Date Cable [This is needed, if you don't have one, buy one.] to the PSP and select USB Mode from the Settings menu.
2. Make new folders under 'PSP' named [Must be in capitals!!!]:
MUSIC
PHOTO
GAMES
VIDEO
SYSTEM
GENERAL [If I have any of them wrong please post the correct names and i'll edit them in]
Your ready to start transferring.
2. Now you will have directory folders under PSP. You must use each folder for each different media file.
EG: Music files go under MUSIC, photo files under PHOTO etc.
WARNING:
1. Video MP4's are stored in 100MNV01 uder MP_ROOT!!
2. Files accepted on v1.5 PSP consoles:
MP3 [Music]
ATRAC3 [Music]
JPEG [Photo]
MPEG4 [Video]
Files accepted on v2.0 PSP consoles:
MP3 [Music]
ATRAC3 [Music]
JPEG [Photo]
PNG [Photo]
MPEG4 [Video]
3. Now wait untill your PSP has finished transferring the file[s] before you quite USB Mode. After the transfer is complete, check to see if the files have transferred correctly.
4. Voila. There you have it, your PSP is not multi-funtional!
