Maybe it's just me but I can't get use to the FPS controls on consoles or handhelds. I'm used to the ease of the keyboard and mouse combo on PCs. Even the second analog stick on console controllers just seem cumbersome. I've tried Syphon Filter and SOCOM on the PSP and they look like great games, but I'm dying all the time cuz I can't get get the hang of the controls. Anyone else have this problem? Any way to make it easier?

u just need a lot of practice... everything gets easier after awhile. it's hard switching from pc to a console

You're right. I'm just use to the PC way. I have to think about what I'm doing on the PSP. By the time I figure it out I'm dying a slow and annoying death and I feel like a retard when there's a guy right in front of me and I'm turning the wall behind him into swiss cheese.

Playin on a console is actually pretty easy when you get the hand of it. But on the PSP its so damn hard!
Out of all of e'm I prefer PC

syphon filter i understand its difficulties, but i dont really understand the difficulty of socom, there is auto-aim which makes it a million times more easy, too easy actually. Just hold [R] and spray.

Hold are an strafe right to left Socom is the best, and all shooters should use the Auto-Aim function for the PSP... Syphon Filter just anoyed the hell out of me...

yes, i dont really mind it, but it does get a little annoying, when u swing the anolog stick and you go just a bit far, and u have to keep trying to aim, it does get annoying. As long as psp and consoles have a good auto-aim, its pretty fun. however, playing on computer makes it a whole lot easier

well seeing as socom and syphon filter arnt FPS....

I agree with PCs being the best machines to use for FPS games, but I really started getting into that genre with Goldeneye; I can play FPS games on N64, Xbox, 360, and PC; but to me FPS games just feel out of place on PS2 and Gamecube. I got those systems mainly for platformers so it is not like I was unhappy with the systems for their lack of quality FPS games.

And I seemed to have veered off course. Aren't Syphon Filter and SOCOM third person games?

i have to agree that Syphon Filter/Socom's auto aim features dont really add any depth to the game and get kinda boring...PC is much better for these types of games, which is why Im also thinking of not buying any more of these 3PS games.

But he brings up a good point...how would an FPS for PSP be??? There are none out yet are there? Would be kinda cool to aim with the analog then.
