| If you own a PSP 3000 or earlier it might not be worth it for the sheer fact that you are unable to transfer your UMD games to the GO at this point in time, I do believe they are tossing around ideas and options for this though. I purchased one because I don't have a PSP currently and therefore no UMD's. So any games I purchase will be from the PSN, which is fine with me. The fact that I don't have to carry around my entire game library now is a huge plus, and PSOne games ontop of it. Sold...
Now as to the price, if you have one already prolly not worth the extra dough. Although places like Gamestop are taking trade ins for your older systems and giving extra credit towards a purchase. After trading in you can get a new GO for cheaper than buying a new PSP-3000, and the 16gb memory included with it.
On another note, I'm sure we all know atleast 1 person who bought a PS3 for $1200+ when they first came out.
So in a nutshell, if you have a PSP-3000 I would say not worth it at all, If you are lookin to step into the world of PSP, then yes totally worth it. |
