Rep Power: 0 | getting online? k i brought my psp to school today and on the bus i decided to search for acces points (never been online before) i found like 10 different points on the way to school .... i gotta question tho if under security it says wep i cant access it but if it says none i can right? i tried to connect with one that had no security and when i went to test connection an error popped up... something like 801 etc ..... there were a bunch of numbers i cant remember right now....
k so heres my question.... to get online i have to go to network settings and then search for the access point and save it right? then go to the online browser and click that connection and that's it? sorry if this question has already been asked i didnt have time to search so if anyone else finds a thread like this please post it or just post what i have to do to get online |

Rep Power: 0 | I believe thats it yes, mine asks for a pass cause on my security. but if I ignore that part, you shouldn't need to do anything else.
Turn wifi on, setup the connection and go.
If your trying your school's one, if they're like mine then they'll have crap in place with blocks certain packets such as msn's or any p2p software's.
Might be something to do with that? |

Rep Power: 0 | Wep = Wireless encrypted passcode
So it has a pass on it.
I know when you select a server you can select none for wep, but if the server does have wep and you select none, it won't work as it needs a code.
Also, not sure if it applies for wireless but the router ya trying to connect to would need DHCP turned on to assign the psp it's IP?
Sorry can;t be much help, only had the psp about 4 days myself. |

Rep Power: 0 | If it says that the connection isn't encrypted then its 1 of two things. First, it may have an encryption that the PSP isn't compatable with. Second, you may have to get assigned to the network by an admin (good luck with that). |

Rep Power: 0 | Also if your trying to connect to a network from the school bus, by the time you've managed to get the connection setup you'll probably be out of range of the network again.
Unless there is very heavy traffic on your school route. |

Rep Power: 0 | It will play videos, but not ones that are shown inline in web pages. Your best bet is to download the videos via the PC and then copy them to the MOVIES directory manually from there onto your PSP. |
