I know you've all prob been asked a billion times how to do this but i cant seem to find a straight forward answer to this one.

I am using RS-GUI PopstationMD by Red Squirrel... load the 2 discs and choose the game code. it gave me a message saying need cygwin1.dll

downloaded and placed the DLL file into system32 (vista)
then gave me same message about cygz.dll

downloaded and placed in system32
then gave me error message 0xc0000142 - a little research tells me this is a .dll initialization file error, so i downloaded both files from a different source.

then it gave me the cygwin1.dll error again. i replaced the new cygwin1.dll with the other known bad one that gave me the other error just to see what happens.

it gave me the same cygwin1.dll error

anyone have any clue what is going on here.

going over it again i relized the first error message said cannot locate cygwin1.dll (this was with a cygwin1.dll of about 100 kb) the other cygwin1.dll (of about 1 MB) gave this message

"the procedure entry point_fdopen64 could not be located in the dynamic link library cygwin1.dll"

Without any personal experience with the program you are using, im not sure that i can be of much help. Are you sure that the program's path for those two files goes to the system 32 folder? You could try putting them in the directory of your exe file as well. Give it a try and lmk what happens.
