660 pro-b fast recovery

hiya, bit of a noob to this so was wondering if anybody could help me out. i recently bought a psp 1000 of ebay with the intention to hack it, sytem software is version 6.30, this is all new to me and i dont know where to begin, what sites to use etc, all i know is that i will need the pandora battery and a magic memory stick right? any kind of help wold be really appreciated.

I'll help you. Just give me a minute to set you up.
okay....im gonna have you update your psp to system version 6.39.
download the official firmware here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZPNS69NC
In your psp's GAME folder, PSP>GAME, create a folder called UPDATE. When the official firmware 6.39 finish downloading extract the EBOOT.pbp file into that UPDATE folder.
When you move it there, disconnect your psp from your pc.
Start the update from your game section via psp. Make sure your psp is charged up.
When thats all done you can delete the update(its useless now that you updated).
Now the latest and best CFW(Custom firmware) for the psp is PRO.

When thats done downloading, extract its contents(except for cipl flasher) to PSP>GAME.
Then start the "Proupdate". When the Pro screen shows up press the "X" button. Your psp will now reboot to the XMB. Now you have CFW. Now delete the "Proupdate"(it is useless now). Keep the "Fast recovery". You will need it to get back into Pro.
You wont need any of that pandora stuff btw.

Oh yeah, heres a link to my themes SaGe RoXante' presents: Custom Themes To apply them, just extract them to your THEME folder. Make sure to download the one for your firmware.
When you are all settled, if you want i'll give some plugins for your hacked psp.
That pretty much sums up everything.

thanks alot, i dont have the pandora battery yet, will this make a difference? or do i need to buy one first, complete noob as u can tell lol

You dont need pandora stuff. Those are old news.
Alright i'll link you to some of my plugins. I need to upload them.
btw place the seplugins folder at the root of your memory stick.

also, at the root of your memory stick create a folder named cxmb. That will be used for the themes.

hiya, thanks so much for your help, really wouldnt know where to start otherwise. just realised that my USB cable is broke ... gonna nip out n buy one shortly. an i kool to PM u back if i get a little stuck? seem like u know these things inside out, back to front lol

It's been hacked some time now.
Use this 6.60 Pro b-9 http://procfw.googlecode.com/files/660PRO-B9.rar
Extract the proupdate and fast recovery to your psp. Ignore the file i didnt mention.
Then start the proupdate, then press the x button. After that it will send you back to the xmb. then delete the proupdate. "keep" the fast recovery, you will need it to return to pro.
