Rep Power: 0 | SNES Emus are slow... using Version 2.0 and Eboot .85 FF6 I was wondering if this is normal and just a limitation of the PSP hardware and the emulator. I'm running the SNES9x and Eboot .85 (don't feel like downgrading).
I'm currently playing Chrono Trigger and FF6. FF6 can get really slow in battles. I have to use Frame Skip: 1 to get acceptable framerates, atleast so it doesnt drop below 20. Even then, 20 is kind of low isn't it?
Anyone else have experience iwth Final Fantasy 6 and EBOOT (or 1.5 PSP w/out)? |

Rep Power: 0 | Does it give you the option to change to the speed from 222mhz to 333mhz? |

Rep Power: 0 | Yep. I'm running 333mhz. Still slow. Its the same thing SNES9x found in the sticky on top. Just with the Eboot I have to go through Eboot to load the emulator, instead of going directly to Games: Memory Stick.
I mean, it certainly isn't unplayable, and does maintain 30ish for the most part. I just wish it wouldn't drop below 25 at all (which it does durning battle sometimes) |

Rep Power: 0 | Make sure auto-Frameskip is off, and sound is set to 22khz(or off), 1:1 with smoothing off, PSP Accelerated + Aprroximate, and frameskip 1. Expirement with the vsync. |

Rep Power: 0 | Set frameskip (up on analog) to 4, works wonders. |

Rep Power: 0 | Damn, Frame Skip 4 looks like crap though lol.
I am ok with Frameskip 1. Its not that bad overall, maybe just FF6 that is picky. Chrono Trigger seems to run alot faster than 30 for the most part. |

Rep Power: 0 | I know this won't help, but I can tell you that it runs perfectly on a 1.50 using the latest SNES TYL release. |
