Company Flow

Since my iPod is pretty much an expensive brick, I have resorted to using my psp for MP3's instead. I hook it up with one of those tape deck to line in coverters. My only problem is that my iPod had an equalizer on it which made playback as loud as I wanted, yet the psp does not, and play back hard to hear with my car even at idle, even with the radio and psp as loud as they both can go. Is there any way to put an equalizer on the psp, or to get my music louder at all?
