Ok so how do I convert my newly ripped DVD to a format that will burn to a DVD-R?? I ripped the dvd's w/ decrypter and get saved on the HD. But when I try to rip the dvd file (VOB since decrypter makes it in only that format) to a dvd-r disc. Nothing loads to the converter. I tried DVD Shrink but it wont recognize VOB files. It says its invalid, etc.

So basically, how do I convert a VOB file to a AVI, or other burnable format?

Use CloneDVD.

I use it myself to backup my own DVDs. It works perfect.

DVDFab Decrypter+CloneDVD == The Best.

When u start CloneDVD, u choose the option to CLONE A DVD WITH A SPECIFIED SOURCE. After that, you select your folder (i.e. C:MY_FIRST_RIPPED_XXX_DVDVIDEO_TS)

And you're all set, you can remove the subtitle, the extra languages, the bonus to tune up the quality of your rip. (Since you try to fit a Dual-Layer DVD on a Single Layer DVD...)

Anyway, if you got some difficulties, GOOGLE IS YOUR ONLY FRIEND.

(Tip: Google "doom9", and look for their GUIDES... Should help... A LOT!!!)

Actually I beleive the discussion regarding DVD bacckup is illegal. Not sure though. Anyway I use DVD Decrypted to rip the DVD into a .VOB file. Then I use PSP Video 9 to transcode the .VOB into a .MP4. Then Nero to burn it.
