I just bought a wireless router ( netgear rangemax wpn824). I have been on the phone with both Sony and Netgear and nobody has answers!!!!
I can connect fine, get online, i get in the lobby of ATV offroad and see all the open games. When I try to join I can never get in any of the available games.

Sony claims everything is good from there end because I can get in the lobby, they claim its a firewall issue with my router, they provided me ports to open, I did that still didnt work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Solved my own problem, I definately had a firewall issue, so I locked in the PSP IP address and mac address under the Lan IP setup section on netgear admin site then under wan setup I set the DMZ server to my PSP IP address. This solved all my issues. Hopefully this helps others that have same issue

Where do yuo find your psp ip address at? Because I have a netgear also and its not letting me join other atv rooms people are hosting? Please help, ill pay 1000 umd.

If you go under network settings/infrastructure mode on your psp then select options/test connection it will give you the IP assigned to the psp. you then need to follow what i said in earlier post to assign that in the netgear router maintenance site and set up the same IP for psp under dmz settings.
