Hi, new to the forum. I just picked up a new psp. I am having a problem getting online. When I was setting up the wifi I first tried the "scan" option. It picked up my home network with a strong signal but the box was "gray" and when I clicked on continue nothing would happen. After trying several times I entered the info manualy It now connects to the "access" point, tells me to wait while it obtains an ip address then tells me " a connection error has occurred. the attempt to obtain the ip address timed out." Any suggestions? Thanks..................

Soumds like your psp doesn't support your network. After you use "scan" does it say "not supported" next to your network?

Exactly.. does this mean i will have to get a new wireless router to get this thing to work? Thanks for your reply

did you check your psp if it can go wireless psp to psp, if not then try using different channels, if it doesn't work, then your psp network has the problem.

yeah you should put your psp to automatic that way it can pick up any channel and you can still play with friends that live around you.
