The insulation on the mains part of your adapter is rated for 110V, the Voltage here in Ireland is 230V.
The charger iteself is universal and will work in any part of the world, but you will need to get a new mains cable to fit into the adapter. It's the cable with the 3pin plug on one end, and the 'figure 8' shaped plug on the other.
In Galway City, there are a number of electrical shops that will help you out, Currys, Dixons, PC World, DID electrical etc. Bring the charger into any electrical shop there, and they will give you a cable for it. Probably much cheaper then any adapter you buy in the states to convert.
