i dunno about it, but i have that same thing that happens, but everything seems fine and everyone else i know has that happen, and all disks do that, so i would say it's normal |

Rep Power: 0 | its the laser lens assembly riding on the laser track in the drive.. the drive is crystal controlled and phase locked by the use of "bearings".. thats why you guys liken it to a skateboard since the wheels use bearings (albeit larger than the ones in the lens drive assembly).
its normal and can be heard in most other laser lens systems... (dvd players, etc) |

| My psp made that sound too. but my umd drive wont read umd's any more.
Any ideas why? (I think it might be because i switched the umd's out while it was trying to load)
But would that break it?
Anyways, it still makes that sound when trying to load. but it just stops and my psp is broken as far as umd emulator goes.
So, is that sound still normal when my umd wont load? |
