Rep Power: 0 | Help guys! Yeah, I know there's quite a few 'help!' topics around here, but I really do need your help.
A couple of days ago, I left my PSP charging on my desk, and when I got out of my chair later, I tripped on the wire and knocked the PSP to the ground. I checked it, and now it doesn't work.
To help you solve my problem, I'll tell you all I know:
1) Firstly, pushing the 'on' switch upwards makes the green light flash for a second, then nothing. This might not seem important, but at least it proves the PSP isn't completely dead, right? It still recognises the 'on' function.
2) If I plug the charger in the PSP, the red light comes on as normal. Plus, when I listen carefully, and put my ear to the right side of the PSP, I hear a very very very faint buzz. Not one that concerns me, but tells me that charge is reaching the PSP. Also, flipping the power switch makes the red light go off, then resumes again.
3) If I shake the PSP from side to side, I hear something rattling in there. Maybe it's the PSP buttons, not sure.
4) I don't have a screwdriver small enough ATM, but I'll get one soon.
So, any thoughts? Sympathies? :D . This is really annoying, plus, I can't afford to get another one really.
Thanks in advance! |

Rep Power: 0 | sry to hear it
if you have a warrenty, use it. and if you don't, then be careful when opening it up. when it hit the ground, did it hit anything on the way, s it a wood floor...?
yes, the fact that the lights come on it good...but...it doesn't say too much.
sry if i can't help much more |

Rep Power: 0 | No warrenty I'm afraid.
It hit a carpeted floor, and wasn't from a great height. A friend of mine, she dropped hers from much higher, onto a hard floor, battery flew out, and it was fine.
How hard is it to disassemble the PSP? |

Rep Power: 0 | your psp comes with a 1 yr manufacture warranty, U can get the right screwdriver at radio shack or electronic stores.
Ask Ceptic Tank about Dissambely, its easy but he's actually done it so he could give u more info. |

Rep Power: 0 | My psp was dropped several times from knee high onto a wooden floor and lives. The rattling must be some important bits, maybe microchip pieces. |
