Im looking to get me a router for my PSP, so i can play TM online and other games once its enabeld. My problem is though that I have vonage (broadband phone service) so It limits what wireless routers i can get. But i was wondering how all the routers are 802.11 and then a letter. What letter is best to get? WHat do the letters mean? Because this is the router i was looking at: Linksys Wireless Router because it is cheap and I dont want to spend alot of moeny just to play my PSP online. Will the 802.11g type routhers work with the PSP? Well thank you for your help, I apreciate it much.

Yes it will work. It says right there "backward-compatible with 802.11b". I have a variation of this router WRT54G and it works fine, they are default set to support G and B (because its so common).

i have the WRT54G and it works fine.

i just have to unplug by game extender when i use the psp online.

for some reason it screws up the signal.

Oh ok, thank you very very. I wasnt sure if the PSP used B or G or if it made a difference. Doenst give you much support in the manual on it.

Ya im in Houston, so there is a Bestbuy. The problem is though that we have Vonage and i need a router with phone ports. And for 2 crappy little phone ports it adds $100 to the price for a router (cheapest i found is $130). But that 1 is on sale for $50 after rebates so I picked it up. It works great. I just figure out how to get the stupid Vonage registered on that router. Im too lazy to call them . But thanks for everyones help. Im done here. Lol.
