My gf is going to Italy in a 2 weeks to study for about 4 months so i was thinking about buying her a psp so she can have some internet access since she does not have a laptop. im sure they have computers she can use over there but this would be just for her. My question is, can she use the Wi-Fi system over there or is there some difference is US and Italian/Euro Wi-Fi. The Internet feature will be the biggest reason for her to have the psp so if it wont work then its kinda pointless for me to buy her one. She wants emullators for all the nes games so that will help if there is no Wi-Fi compatability and i can buy her movies so it can function as a movie player. Can she buy moveis or games over there and will they work on a US psp? should i just save my $300?

i dont think buying a psp just for the internet would be the smartest thing to do its easy to use but scrolling up and down sucks

Really the internet is just an added feature, if you want something for her to get online with I would go with a palm pilot.

Blackberry's are good, or PDA's get one of those. Either that or a cheapo laptop...

yeah, get a palm pilot...if she wants movies and emulators too, get a tapwave zodiac IMO. look it up on google. the company is out of business, but there is still support for it and you can get it a replacment becasue the compnay that made the parts still lets you return it. so yeah, that would be a good one.

Im turning her into a gamer so i would like her to have a psp. no one answered my question though. will it work in Italy? Can she buy umd movies? Eurogames? shes getting a laptop when she gets back so im not buying her a pda or palm pilot. if not ima have to call sony and ask. any one know Mr. Sony's cell number?

I dont think that she will be able to buy UMD games and movies over there because there region locked but the internet should work fine 8)

Will it work in Italy? Ofcourse.

She can buy movies in Italy, but she must ask if they're are language setting for English or subtitles available on the UMD, unless she knows Italian... And European games work too :D
