| Question about charging in 110 vs. 220 volt outlets Hey everybody. I'm new to the forum because I just ordered a Sony PSP 3000 from amazon.com and should receive it next week. I'm pretty stoked.
Here's my question. I live in America, and obviously our outlets here are 110 volts. Soon I'll be going to Europe and I plan on taking my PSP with me of course. I ordered a few different chargers for the console. I assume that if I plug it into the wall, the 220volts will fry the machine so I should use a converter. However, I know that when I plug in my laptop into a 220v outlet it is fine, and I also ordered a charger for the console where I can plug it into the computer in the USB port. If my computer is plugged into a 220v outlet and I plug the PSP into the computer to charge it, would there be any worries about frying the machine or should that be fine? |
