You can watch TV with a device called Location Free. Basically, it hooks into your home cable box or TV output (not sure which) and then broadcasts the signal to your PSP across a broadband internet connection. Looks pretty cool, but the Location Free thing is expensive.
You can read RSS feeds on your PSP. Basically, articles and such are delivered to your PSP over the internet. Think that's how it works anyway. Not 100% sure.
Version 2.0 of the PSP software includes a web browser. Pretty self-explanatory.
Well, obviously, you'll want to buy a game or two to play games. The PSP can play music and movies, but not much with the 32mb memory stick that comes with the unit. Memory sticks have really come down recently. I suggest getting a 512mb or 1 gb stic if you want to play music or watch movies.
I think the stores have version 2.0.
