Removing dust from under the LCD? - PSP Forum

I tried searchign for an answer, and I wasn't gonna sort through 155 pages of crap.

I recently bought a new PSP for playing GTA until The giga packs come out, and I was a lucky mothertrucker.!

NO DEAD PIXELS! lol

But anyways, it's got a piece or 2 of dust under the screen right on top of the LCD, is there anyway to get rid of it? Because my friend is actually paying me $275 for this PSP without dead pixels(Bought it with 10% discount from wal mart, making profit :p). I don't want him to not do the deal so I wanna get rid of the dust.

Someone please help meh!

Most people have this problem and the only way to get it out is to open it up.

I wouldnt suggest opening it up. You're more likely to allow more dust particles in, rather than getting whats already in there out. Hope that makes sense.

Im just gonna return it and try my luck again -Blows on the dice- Daddy needs a new PSP with no dead pixels or dust!

You cant. It either comes with dust under the lens, or it doesnt. If you open it up to remove the dust thats already under there, you risk letting more dust particles get in there.

I guess you can't, it happens when they are making the PSP's.

I've already returned 1 PSp, and I plan on returning this one for the new giga packs, so fudge it. lol

dang it........i hope i dont get any...is a dust particle annoying enought to make u take ur psp apart?

Not really, but it is a pretty big dust particle and its annoying.

It's annoying enough to return it or send it to Sony so they fix it.

Im really fed up with Sony and all their dead pixels and dust under the lens crap RAWR!

Sony has always made crappy products -.-

Go to another store, far away from wherever you are receiving these "defective" psp's.
