driving directions for psp

Wonder if you guys have tried using the PSP for this? I had a 200 mile trip for it, and it was pretty sweet.

1) Goto mapquest, get directions

2) Convert provided .gif for map and directions into .jpgs

3) Slap them on

4) Use Zoom, and view mode to set them easily readable

You can even use the analog stick to move around a map, or scroll the directions, the image viewing applications are awesome for this.

Try it to see, my camera's broke.

Presto! Your PSP is a sweet backlit map with directions. If some map company started puttiong out directions with snapshots of landmarks, bridges, and difficult onramps and shit?

That would be trÃ¨ sweet.

Hmm. Never thought of doing that. Great idea ::thumbs up::. I dont have navigation in my truck so this is a great alternative. This would work well with people who are putting PSP's in their cars (Martez).

They had one at last years E3 right?

well.
i live in NY.
so train is very.. umm useful should i say? hah..
anyway, the Image Viewer in PSP is ROCKING my WORLD
becuase PSP screen is providing 16000000 colors.. and .. thats just awsome.

so that's why even you zoom in alot, the pic doesn't get smooshed up. or breaking up.

I just love it =)
