Sony has finally revealed that its brand new white PSP will be sold in Japan from September, and that it will have the ability to browse the web.
The new 'Ceramic White' handheld will go on sale on 15 September in Japan, for the same price as the original black version, but will feature new onboard software that allows gamers to browse the web, watch TV via the Sony Communications Networks, play WAV audio files and even stream video.
Of course, anyone who already owns a PSP will want to be able to upgrade their own machine, so Sony plans to make this patch available for download later this month or early next month.
At the moment it seems unlikely that the white version will be available in the UK when PSP goes on sale in September but it does look certain that the technological upgrades will be included with the UK machines.
