Hey people!!! I'm new to this, but I just got my psp abut a week ago and ordered a 1GB mem stick for it!!! I just want to know what should I do first to get started!! I want to be able to play all games, homebrew, and play the iso file games or whatever, how do I start, I know I got a 1.50 or 1.51 version psp not sure I'll check later but so what do I do first to be able to do al the things that i want to do?? Thanks guys! |

Rep Power: 0 | If it is a 1.51 do this:UPGRADE TO 2.0 then DOWNGRADE TO 1.5. For how to use the downgrader, on a site (not sure if I'm allowed to link) or if you search, there will be the file and instructions. Also, get the WAB firmware launcher and homebrew ahoy. Pick up Burnout Legends, or Twisted Metal. Pelican is evil. NEVER BUY PELICAN. IT WILL DESTROY YOUR PSP. That is all. | |

Thanks guys! | Remember, the latest update is 2.01. You do NOT want to upgrade to this if you have any thoughts of running homebrew apps on your PSP. You'll need to download the 2.00 upgrade files. Just search for them, but only download them from a reputable site. Such as this one. | |

Rep Power: 0 | ok I got a 1.50. So I got to download 2.0 to be able to play homebrew games then right? Also would I be able to play all games because I heard a certain ver. doesnt let you play newer games? Thanks guys! | |

Rep Power: 0 | No. If you already have a 1.50, then you are all set. Do not update anything, and do not download anything stating you can have 2.0 features on a 1.50. You only need to download the homebrew you want to play. | |

Rep Power: 0 | Just remember, since you're new to all this. Before you try to do something new with it, ask someone on a reputable forum(this one) about it first. Oh, and also you might want to pick up the SXT version changer so you will be able to play future game releases without upgrading. There's a sticky in the Hacks, mods, section all about it.
